Brown Bros. Cadillac Online Liquidation Auction - Session 2
The historic 1903 Cadillac Runabout was produced in Cadillac’s initial year of operation and was one of 2,497 cars built after Cadillac made its debut at the 1903 New York Auto Show in January. Originally delivered to the Motor Vehicle Co. in Louisville, Kentucky and listed and archived in the Cadillac Ledger as Engine No. 1178. In 1976, it was acquired by Brown Bros. in the acquisition of their Cadillac Dealership at their current location and stored indoors as part of their antique car collection and has not run in over 50 years. The car has been owned by three of Louisville’s Cadillac Dealers and has remained in the same building since 1913. This two-passenger runabout is powered by a single-cylinder engine known as "Little Hercules" and has rear wheel chain drive with planetary transmission. It has a wooden body, 22" wood wheels with 12 spokes, and Dietz brass coach lamps. NOTE: Selling in as found non-running condition with a reasonable reserve subject to seller's confirmation.
