Early 2 gallon cobalt blue decorated stoneware jar with stenciled lettering advertising James Hamilton & Co. Greensboro, PA. in a circle logo surrounded by floral wreath. Freehand stripe under rim and what looks like a No. 2 on base. Tradition has it that James ran his pottery business in Greensboro from the 1860's-1880.
