ABOUT MAUCKPORT
The rural historic river town of Mauckport is one of the only towns in Harrison County with access to the Ohio River. The Jim Klinstiver Boat Ramp at Morvin’s Landing Park opened to the public in 2019, providing access on the Indiana side of the river to boaters. A previous ferry site for crossing operated until the new Matthew Welsh Bridge was completed in 1966. This bridge now provides a convenient access to Brandenburg, Kentucky for employment opportunities and everyday goods and services. The town of Morvin established in 1811 was the historic battlefield for General John Hunt Morgan and his Morgan’s Raiders as they crossed the Ohio River en route to the northern territory.

ABOUT J. H. MILLER
