The second generation of the Ford Thunderbird produced during the years 1958-1960, this model made its mark on the personal luxury car market, earning the Motor Trend “Car of the Year” award in 1958. Known for its nine vertical hash marks on the rear quarter panel and the third tail light in the rear clusters, the 1960’s sales figures hit a record - combining the attributes of a sports car and a luxury car in the same package.
